ZINEX 47MM OVERSIZE ME 109S PILOT WATCH
| The original 55mm diameter Navigation watches were produced in 1940 using pocket watch movements. The first navigation wristwatches (B-Uhren) were worn as standard equipment of fighter pilots flying the ME 109 and other aircrafts. ME 109 aircraft was designed in 1934 and first flown in September of 1935. ME 109 was the standard fighter for nearly a decade. The aircraft pilots and navigators wore these timing instruments with long leather straps above the sleeve for ease of visibility and operation. The 47mm ZINEX ME 109S timepiece is a tribute to this legendary aircraft and 55mm (B-Uhren) timepiece. |
